My role is to support, guide and challenge you in the way you perceive the world and the way you think about life, people and events.
What is important throughout the coaching process is that you are committed to making changes. The commitment between the two of us provides a solid partnership for us to move you forward and get you the results you want.
This means that rather than spending time 'thinking' about doing something about your life, you actually start 'doing' something about it.
I provide a full hour consultation free of charge and with no obligation to proceed with any other sessions.
I refer to this as your initial consultation; it provides you the opportunity to experience working with me to see if its right for you.
During this session you can discuss your needs, your current situation and your expectations.
If you wish to progress - that's great. If not, no commitment has been made and no further action will follow.
In a word - no.
Counselling like a number of other therapies (e.g. psychotherapy, hypnotherapy, physiotherapy etc) will on the whole require some form of analysis regarding your history. You will usually have to go into your past in order for the therapist to come up with a preferred method of treatment.
Our consultations are based on the present and the future. It follows the premise that the past does not necessarily equal the future. Instead a number of tools will be chosen according to your particular siuation so you can define your own way forward, and can manage your lives successfully after the Life Coaching program is complete.
You will know by the results you get.
The more you put into each session the more results you will see.
When you work with me, you will automatically have all your goals noted in your own presentation report; this will be either sent to you via email or by post. After each session, progress will be updated for each of your goals, this way you will always have a very clear indication on how you are doing at any one time.
There will be the added bonus of having a fully comprehensive list of all the goals you have achieved to date. This provides a wonderful reminder of the great progress you have made already.
The added benefits from the sessions will be an increased sense of well-being, greater confidence, higher self esteem and the belief that you can finally achieved what you had previously on dreamed of.
